nokia551 300x182 Nokia Disapproves Legal Actions Taken by AppleNokia disapproved the anti-trust allegations which were denounced by Apple on Friday. According to the statement, the allegations were planned in order to side-track attention from free-riding off of Nokia’s intellectual property.

Nokia became the initiator of this legal battle and brought before a court against Apple regarding ten patent disobedience related to WiFi connectivity, UMTS (3G), as well as GSM. Apple, in its turn, accused Nokia of several copyright claims which involved violation as well as willful sustaining the custody of patent information. Moreover, Apple charged Nokia with unjust and unfair payment in form of royalties.

Nokia claims that Apple turned unfounded debate into a multi-count federal law suit, furthermore, the company used unproven facts, ambiguous litigation theories and deceptive characterization.

Nokia accuses Apple of misleading characterizations, revisionist history, flawed as well as contradictory legal theories and unsupported allegations in order to have a possibility to turn these useless negotiations into a multi-count federal lawsuit.

Both companies ask the US International Trade Commission to cease importing phones of the other party. But still the final decision will be taken only by June 2011 by ITC.
