In a recent study, researchers said, that cell phone is more distracting than passengers sitting inside the car.
The new study was done by by Dr. Frank Drews at the University of Utah and has been published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology.
In the interesting study, researchers found drivers make more mistakes while talking on a cell phone.
Researchers also found using Bluetooth is just as distracting as holding the phone, as passengers are able to act as a second pair of eyes to help drivers see possible dangers up the road.
The study said, passengers know how to shorten the conversation but someone on the othe side of the phone does not know when to do this.
