Audi has rolled out its new A7 sportback sedan. It is expected that the all-new car will hit the market later this year as a 2011 model. The A7 is considered to be a new co-flagship along with the new A8. But it is unknown whether the A7 will be able to surpass the A8 in the price category.
It is a four-seater car and is based on the A6 platform. The length of the car is about 193 inches. When it comes to design, one should mention about several body lines found around the shoulders as well as roof. It features a new single-frame grille, more horizontal shoulder, as well as LED taillights.
It is expected that the A7 will be powered by RS7 or S7. It is expected that the A7 models will be available with an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual. As for U.S. models they will be equipped with quattro all-wheel drive system that is considered to be standard for Audi.
Audi is going to take advantage of an air suspension system that will be used on all A7 models. It means that new cars will have equal footing with CLS of Mercedes.
It is expected that the car will be available in the European market by the end of this year. U.S. sales will start in early 2011.
As for pricing it is still not disclosed.
